SMaRT tech in documentary

Various UNSW SMaRT Centre technologies and its Director, Professor Veena, feature in a new four-part documentary series by the ABC.

Called Makers of Modern Australia, the series is four-part history, told through the stories of some of the country's most intriguing and influential figures: the leaders, rebels, artists and innovators who made modern Australia.

SMaRT and Veena feature in episode 2, "Innovators", aired live this week and available to stream on ABC iView (we appear from 50:00).

This episode is about Australia's scientific innovators helping the nation to overcome problems and striving to meet some of the gravest challenges facing humanity.
