OzWater conference 2021

On 6 May 2021, Veena will be delivering a keynote speech at the OzWater 2021 conference hosted by the Australian Water Association, talking about waste as a resource.

Veena said: "The fact is that waste is, and should be treated as, a renewable resource. And we at the UNSW SMaRT Centre and many others have developed proven technologies to reform often traditionally hard to recycle waste into valuable new materials and products.

"Community, government and international concerns around our waste and recycling challenges are converging. There is a growing willingness across sections of our societies to embrace the many and considerable issues we face in the management of our materials sustainability.
