Network Ten’s Planet Shapers TV series featured UNSW SMaRT Centre Director Prof Veena and SMaRT's Green Steel technology.
The episode dived into Australia’s used tyre story, providing a snapshot of the current state of play for tyre recovery in Australia, what is happening onshore right now and the road ahead to achieving better and more sustainable outcomes for our used tyres.
It highlighted SMaRT's Green Steel Polymer Injection Technology which uses waste rubber as a replacement for coke and coal in steel making.
