Hunter Innovation Festival

On 7 May 2021, Veena will be delivering a keynote speech at the 2021 Hunter Innovation Festival, then joining local manufacturing leaders to explain the role circular economies play in modernising Australian manufacturing.

Veena said: "There is a strong need to align recycling and manufacturing through new technologies to create circular economies and turn problematic waste into valuable materials."

"'People are talking about reducing their impact on the planet – builders and designers are talking about it. I'm feeling optimistic watching sustainability become mainstream and part of our daily lives. Australians in particular are looking for opportunities – we don't want to end up completely buried in our own waste."
