Salim has completed a bachelor in Material Science and Engineering at the University of New South Wales. His graduation project supervised by Professor Veena Sahajwalla and Anirban Ghose proved that 3D printing recycled filaments have comparable mechanical properties to their commercial alternatives. He has interned at two leading companies in power generation and oil & gas production in the Middle East; Phoenix Power and Petroleum Development Oman respectively. Currently, Salim works at the SMaRT Centre as an associate microfactorie engineer with a prime focus on leveraging various plastic waste sources for the designing and manufacturing of 3D printing recycled filaments.
